When You Need More Than an EMF Measurement
Different sources produce different fields at different frequencies. An investigation may require identifying the source, frequency, location and operating conditions rather than simply reporting a meter reading. The number alone may not answer the question.
Case Studies:
UNM power plant/pacemaker — characterize the facility against the manufacturer's specifications, isolate the relevant field/frequency and equipment, establish restricted locations, give employee an appropriate meter.
School magnetic fields — broad environmental investigation, conventional IAQ good, unusual magnetic fields identified and traced to unbalanced current on a feeder.
Cell-tower school — suspected external source wasn't the dominant measured source.
